Making Headlines

Makin' headlines! Not because it's the biggest arts festival in the world, but obviously it hit a new record because of our awesome marketing skills. ;)

Kate, Sam, and Ali left early this morning. The house is so empty with four headed home and Julie in Ireland. I got an email this morning that the landlord wanted to come check the flat (though we technically have it until Saturday) to get it ready for the next tenants who move in on Tuesday, but he never showed up. That was kind of annoying because we wanted to go out and do things, but in the end it was probably best because I got most of my packing done and cleaned the kitchen and living room.

In the end it worked out pretty well because by the time we finished cleaning I was able to log on to check in for my flight. We don't have a printer or any way to print the boarding passes, so we're going to the airport extra early to make sure we have time to wait and pick them up there.

Somehow Allison ended up on an earlier flight than Gayle and me from Edinburgh to Heathrow, but we're all on the same flight from London to Philly so that's good. Now let's just hope they let me through London!!

The door to our flat is under the arch of the short looking roof. We're on the second and third floor though, so technically our actual living space is over the chaplaincy to the left of our door.

It was a beautiful day to just take a walk, so Allison and I went up to the mile to do some last minute gift shopping and just get out for a while.

And I figured I had to try this before I left. I'm pretty sure it's one of the sodas in the International Soda Cave in Epcot at Disney (which I guess would make sense...) but it tasted like bubble gum so that was weird.

Packing problems to the max

Goodnight, Edinburgh.
